Joslyne Cloete – Marketing Coordinator, Oxford English Academy Meta Region

Joslyne joined Oxford English Academy in February 2013 as a Marketing Intern. She is a warm-hearted person and enjoys what she does. Marketing enabled Joslyne to maintain her creative flair and develop an outlet for all her thoughts and ideas. She has spread her wings and is now more involved in our social programme, organising in house events and supervising our interns.

Joslyne was promoted to Marketing Coordinator in May 2013, and while she is responsible for all marketing and social media for both Cape Town and Oxford schools, she adds extra spark by being an office all-rounder who liaises with staff, students and teachers on a daily basis.

Andrea Williams – Head Teacher

With a background in speech and drama, Andrea has been training and coaching voice and business communication skills for adults in and around Cape Town for a number of years. English language skills development has always been an aspect of her work, because in South Africa’s multi-lingual society, many who use English for work or for studying don’t speak it as their first language. In 2012 she decided she enjoyed teaching English so much that she would make it her exclusive focus. She added the CELTA to her qualifications and now is very happy to be a member of the Oxford English Academy teaching staff. When she isn’t teaching she’s usually at home in Fish Hoek, enjoying the best of life in a sea-side suburb of Cape Town.

Bridget Kennedy – Teacher

Bridget is a recent addition to our Oxford English Academy family, joining us as head teacher on 1 June 2016. She completed her CELTA in 2007 and has taught all levels (Beginner – Advanced) and IELTS. She has 10 years’ experience under her ESL belt. People are her business, travel is her passion and she loves her family, yoga, food and having a good time no matter what or where.

Jane Trombetta – Teacher

Jane Trombetta has been teaching English to foreign language students in Cape Town for 14 years. She has taught every age group, many nationalities, and all aspects of EFL at every level.

After bringing up her two children, she decided to pursue her passion for languages and completed a BA degree majoring in Linguistics, English and Italian through the University of Cape Town and Unisa. She completed her CELTA training in 2000, and in 2003 she received a certificate for completing a course in Teaching Cambridge Exam classes. Over the years, she has prepared many students for the IELTS, First Certificate, Advanced and Proficiency exams. She has also worked extensively with Business English students, preparing specialised courses for specific needs.

When she is not teaching, she enjoys travelling and spending time with her family and friends.

Stefano De Siena – Teacher

Although he is one of our younger teachers, don’t be fooled by his age. With a history of work in journalism and sound engineering, Stefano has a wide range of interests and abilities which, combined with his experience, makes for an interesting atmosphere in the classroom. He attained his CELTA in Cape Town and then gained experience in South America and Europe where he also managed to pick up a few languages himself. He has a passion for language and loves how it has the ability to bring people together.
