Choose your Way to Learn English
But what happens once you are on that path?
We all know how difficult it is to keep our focus on one area at a time. This is considering how much is going on and how many distractions there are at our fingertips. This needs to serve as a reward. Keep those Facebook posts and Instagram photos until after you have completed your homework and I promise they will be that much more enjoyable.
So, what about studying in a school, studying online or travelling abroad to do a course? Well this depends on you. How much time you have, your budget and whether or not you have anything else that requires your attention.
Travelling to an English-speaking country always helps. And Oxford English Academy in Cape Town or in Oxford are both great options for courses where you learn and live English. This really opens up your World and gives you the opportunity to make friends from other countries and locals, which will, no doubt, be an amazing aide in your quest to English understanding.
There are multiple options online nowadays. Smartphones and apps have also really opened the game up. But be careful as firstly a lot of these aren’t as immersive. And secondly they don’t really have any accreditation to what they are offering.
At the end of the day, you need to have a look at yourself in the mirror, stand up straight, shoulders back and tell yourself: “I can learn English!”
